Q: Why are they called “breathing glasses”?
A: Because the new patented material in IONSPEC glasses releases far-infrared rays and negative oxygen ions (also known as the “vitamins of the air” – oxygen). Absorbed through the skin, they raise the oxygen level around the eyes, leaving them feeling cool and relieving eye fatigue.
Q: How is IONSPEC different from ordinary glasses?
A: IONSPEC is medical-grade eyewear developed from a new patented material, designed to care for the eyes and help with eye conditions. It is FDA approved and is also approved by Malaysia’s Ministry of Health (KKM MDA) as a CLASS A Medical Device. These are not the ordinary glasses sold in optical shops.
Q: What functions does IONSPEC have?
A1: IONSPEC has 7 key functions. The lenses have three:
1) Blue-light protection (protects the cornea, lens and retina from blue-light damage – especially the macula, preventing macular degeneration).
2) UV protection (protects the cornea and lens, helping to prevent astigmatism, pterygium and cataracts from forming or getting worse).
3) Anti-radiation (blocks electromagnetic radiation from all 3C electronic devices and helps prevent dry eye).

Q: Which eye problems improve fastest?
A: In today’s digital age, 90% of eye problems are eye strain caused by lack of oxygen, dryness and overuse. People with eye strain, dry eyes, high eye pressure or glaucoma all see improvement quickly with IONSPEC.
Q: Do the functions of the glasses wear off?
A: IONSPEC is made from nano-scale materials, so the functions never expire – they work permanently.
Q: Can people who already wear glasses for myopia, astigmatism or presbyopia use them?
A: Of course. Just take your IONSPEC frame to any optical shop, have your lenses fitted and they are ready to wear.
Q: How many hours a day should I wear them?
A: We recommend at least 6-8 hours a day for the best results.
Q: What might I feel when I start wearing them?
A: It varies from person to person. A few people (especially those with low blood pressure) may feel slightly dizzy or have watery eyes – a normal sign of improvement that disappears after a few uses. Older users may notice more eye discharge during the first 3-4 days, which is also a normal sign of improvement. People with blocked blood vessels in the head may feel some pain.
Q: Are the product’s functions backed by reports or test results?
A: IONSPEC has two clinical test reports from a Taipei hospital of Chinese medicine (from 2013 and 2014), and a paper has been published in the Medical Journal of MSU University. The product is also registered with the US FDA and FDA Philippines, and approved by Malaysia’s Ministry of Health (KKM MDA) as a Class A Medical Device.
Q: Do all styles have the same functions?
A: Yes. The styles are different, but the benefits are exactly the same.
